'Armchair' Tours.

A guide giving a talk
A talk in progress

These are especially suitable to cheer those long, dark winter evenings, or for client groups whose members may not be as mobile as in the past, and would prefer non-walking tours of places of special interest. Illustrated talks take the form of photographic slides or Power Point presentations and our speakers provide their own projectors and screens. All we ask of you is that you provide sufficient room-darkening facilities, such as curtains to enable projected images to be seen clearly.

Many of our speakers are professionally qualified, in disciplines such as history, archaeology, agriculture, engineering, human resource management, languages and education, so are widely accepted as experts in their field of study.

Each of the talks below normally lasts between ¾ of an hour to 1 hour and can be phased to suit your particular needs. For example: a first part, broken by a refreshment break, followed by part 2. Currently, the fee for each talk is £40.00 plus a nominal travelling fee, which is negotiable and depends upon where our speaker lives in relation to your venue. To whet your appetite, the following list shows just a few of the talks our Blue and Green Badge Guides would be happy present to you and your group.
